wooden Easter basket with soft neutral crinkle paper, Christian children's book about Easter, small cross, puzzle pieces, crayons, Jesus plush toy, organic candy, light linen background, soft natural lighting, modern farmhouse aesthetic, styled product photography

If you’re building a more meaningful Easter basket, these are some of my favorite items that keep the focus on faith, creativity, and a little bit of fun. I love mixing books, activities, and a few sweet treats so the basket feels exciting without becoming a sugar overload.

Below are some great Amazon options that work beautifully for a faith-focused Easter basket.

Faith-Centered Books for Easter Morning

One of the simplest ways to refocus on Jesus is to include a meaningful book in your child’s basket.

📖 The Story of Easter

The Story of Easter

https://amzn.to/4blStp8

This adorable Little Golden Book tells the Easter story in a way young children can understand. It introduces the events leading to Jesus’ resurrection with beautiful illustrations and simple storytelling, perfect for preschool and early elementary kids.

Reading this together on Easter morning is a wonderful family tradition.

📖 Jesus Easter Egg Hunt Book

This interactive story combines the fun of an egg hunt with the Easter message, helping kids connect the celebration to the story of Jesus.

Creative Activities for Easter Baskets

Instead of filling baskets with throwaway toys, I love including items that encourage creativity.

🎨 Jesus Coloring Book

A faith-based coloring book helps children engage with Bible stories in a fun and hands-on way.

🖍️ Crayons

Simple? Yes.
But crayons are a must for any Easter basket if you’re including coloring activities.

🧩 Kids Puzzle

Puzzles are a great screen-free activity that kids can enjoy long after Easter morning.

Faith-Inspired Toys

A meaningful toy can serve as a gentle reminder of Jesus’ love.

🧸 Jesus Plush Toy

This sweet plush toy is perfect for younger children and can become a comforting reminder of their faith.

Music that Brings Kids Back to Jesus

🎵 Bible Song Book for Kids

Jesus Loves Me Song Book

https://amzn.to/46QGKgF

Music is one of the best ways for kids to remember scripture and Bible stories. A children’s Bible song book is something the whole family can enjoy.

A Little Bit of Sweet (Because It’s Still Easter)

Let’s be honest… kids expect something sweet in their Easter basket.

I like to include just a few treats instead of an entire basket of candy.

🍬 Organic Jelly Beans

A fun Easter classic with cleaner ingredients.

🐰 Bunny Marshmallows

Festive and fun — and perfect for topping hot cocoa or enjoying as a small treat.

🍫 Chocolate Easter Bunny

No Easter basket is complete without a chocolate bunny.

Don’t Forget the Basket

🧺 Personalized Easter Basket

Personalized baskets are something kids can reuse year after year.

🌿 Crinkle Cut Easter Basket Filler

A simple way to make everything look festive and colorful.

A Simple Easter Basket Formula

To keep things balanced, I like using this simple formula when building Easter baskets:

✔ 1 Faith-based book
✔ 1 Creative activity
✔ 1 Fun toy
✔ 1 Small treat
✔ 1 Chocolate bunny

It keeps the basket exciting without turning Easter morning into a sugar crash.

One Last Reminder

Easter baskets are fun, but the real reason we celebrate is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior!

The traditions, the baskets, the egg hunts — they’re just small ways to celebrate the greatest news in history:

He is risen. ✝️

Hi Kelly, it’s so easy to let the holiday turn into just candy and distractions, but I really like how this post brings the focus back to what it’s actually about … while still making it fun for kids! Thank you!

We always try to add a book, coloring book, and toy to our baskets each year. What a great, minimalist list.
